NZ Quakes

Gabrielle and I have been finding out about past earthquakes that are above six on Richter Scale. Here is some information that we found on THE BIGGEST EARTHQUAKE EVER RECORDED IN NZ: 23 January 1855 in Wairarapa This was the BIGGEST earthquake ever recorded in NZ, at a magnitude of 8.3 this earthquake was at 9.00pm, and only killed 5-9 people. It was 33 km deep.

Jade & Spring The Jewel Scepter

I’m writing a story about twins named Jade and Spring. They live in Kaikoura and then the earthquake hits. The get moved to a fairytale school in Australia. Here is a little bit of the story: We all woke up and everything was normalish. Except half of Kaikoura was damaged or completely munted. All the roads to Kaikoura a blocked, and lots of schools are closed. Spring’s happy, she never gets good grades anyway. A month passes and mum and dad pull us into their room. They say, “You know how the living room ceiling is damaged,” they said. “We don’t have any money to fix it, and we have to fix it, so we are going to have to send you two to a boarding school in Australia” I sighed, Spring swore, and we both headed of to our rooms to start packing. This chapter is written from Jade’s point of view. Spring and Jade take turns at narrating the chapters. The full story is coming soon! ☺

I am reading a book called The Templeton Twins Have An Idea. It's by Ellis Weiner. I like this book because the narrator communicates with the reader. Also the narrator is funny. A little bit of the story is this: The Templeton twins BLAH BLAH, VERY SAD, ETCETERA. I recommend this book to both genders, age 8-88,888,888,888,888,888,888,888,888,888… Great b ook!

Carnival Art- Finished

I have finally finished my carnival art! It took a long time and a few hammered thumbs, but I’m finished the nailing and threading. Look at the result! My favourite part about my art is the sequins on the curve of the A. The easiest part about the making was the threading for sure.   What do you think? Comment below.
