This is room 9’s dance that we will be performing at the fancy dress. It’s the full dance, so if you want a surprise on the night, DO NOT WATCH!!! The dance looks like it has been choreographed by a professional, but actually most of it was done by the students. In a couple of places everyone is doing a different thing, we got to make that up by ourselves. The song, however, was chosen by a professional dancer, Mrs Ford. That Power has a strong beat, and has a nice chorus as well.

I'm writing a story called 'Hunteress' and have found a bit that I really like, so I have selected it as a teaser for 'Hunteress'. Who do you think are the main  characters ? This is it: “There are no footprints round here! August will be impossible to track down,” said Lexi. “Lexi, you doof,” said Libby, “Fairies don’t leave footprints, they fly, not walk.” “Oh.” Just when they were about to give up, an arrow came flying towards Emily, she dodged it easily, it was released from its bow over three miles away. Mrs Cribb showed us some blessings today. This is the one I liked best:  Blessing  It's a good blessing for anyone and everyone, because it doesn't mention any gods, so any religion can use it.

The Grimm Brothers wrote grim fairy tales. Actually, no, they didn't. They collected tales from around Europe and then published them in books, across seven volumes. Work in progress below. Finished with the colour below.

Last week Room 9 went to AWE swimming at the Aquatic Centre. Believe it or not, we went swimming!  At AWE swimming you learn how to do freestyle,backstroke,tows (pulling another person across the water without hurting their body), safety jump (aka safety step),how to put on a life jacket properly , treading water, floating on your back (and moving while floating on your back), and other things,including how to have fun while staying safe. You don't need to take goggles, but if you want to you can. AWE gives you rash tops to wear over top of you togs, for easy visibility, but they don't supply togs. And at the end, you get a certificate either gold, silver or bronze. AWE is now highly recommended by Room 9.
